From the humble beginnings in 1946 to the leader in cookware innovation, Saladmaster has been changing life one healthy meal at a time. Our founder Harry Lemmons started the company with a simple salad cutting machine. The ingenious design and superior functionality of the original Saladmaster Machine was so well received, it has become an icon of the mid-century American kitchen. The basic concept has yet to be improved upon. Saladmaster began with three salesmen and grew to over 100 Independent Distributors within the first year. Today, we have over 28,000 Independent Authorized Dealers and Cooking Coaches worldwide. ¡Estamos en el mes patrio y los antojos mexicanos empiezan a llegar, hoy tengo una receta original del tradicional pozole por si gustas preparar una opción deliciosa, saludable y vegana! (Puedes agregar proteína animal si lo prefieres).
🇲🇽
POZOLE VEGANO
INGREDIENTES:
SALSA
•5 chiles guajillo
•1 diente de ajo pelado
• ¼ de cebolla morada
CALDO
•3L de caldo vegetal sin GM
•1 cabeza de ajo tostada
•1 cebolla partida en dos y tostada
• 3 ramas de Apio
•1 puño de cilantro
•Sal de mar
• PizcaComino en polvo
•2 Calabazas cortadas con el cono #3
•2 manojos grandes de setas (SI LO DESEAS CON PROTEINA ANIMAL AÑADE POLLO)
•2 Tazas de grano pozolero
ACOMPAÑANTES
•6 Rábanos picados con el cono #4
•1 Cebolla morada picada en cuadritos y remojada en limón
•Lechuga cortada.
•Col picada.
•Tostadas
•Limones
PROCEDIMIENTO:
•Pon a coser el grano pozolero con una pizca de sal marina.
•En otra olla pon a sofreír la cebolla y el ajo. Cuando estén quemaditos, añade una taza de agua, y agrega los chiles. Cocínalos por 10min. Licua, cuela y reserva.
•En una olla profunda añade los 3 litros de caldo vegetal junto con el apio, cabeza de ajo tostada, la cebolla tostada y el cilantro. Tápalo y deja que la temperatura se distribuya por toda la olla, al hacer click, añades las setas y las calabazas picadas. Deja cocinar por 15min, vierte la salsa y el maíz (antes puedes licuar la mitad del maíz, para una consistencia más espesa). Rectifica el sabor y agrega una pizca de comino.
• Sirve con rábanos, cebolla, limón, lechuga, col, tostadas.

One of the best-tasting salads that I have experienced, this was was at a tiny restraunt belonging to Esther and Yonathan in Safed. The produce was exquisite; the tomatoes had a deep, sweet-tangy flavor, the parsley was not the usual bitter green that you mostly experience in America (don't intend to bash, but it's a fact), there were radishes, red onions, and crispy cucumbers too all doused in an olive oil-lemon dressing-- and add to this a drizzle of well-made tehini and this was the BEST.

Dinner at golden hour... my vegetarian spin on Niçoise salad 😋
It’s been a while since I shared a proper morethangranola salad with you all... but that doesn’t mean I haven’t been making them (pretty much every day since winter ended... who am I kidding... you know I eat salad all winter too!! 🤣)
My version of Niçoise starts out with a mix of my favorite baby lettuces and frisée, blanched wax beans, crispy roasted baby potatoes, seasonal rainbow tomatoes, kalamata olives, lemon and pink peppercorn pickled red onions, avocado, French breakfast radishes, jammy soft boiled eggs, salt packed capers (rinsed), finely diced pink Chinese celery from my garden, edible flowers also from my garden and a homemade dressing of dill and roasted garlic.
Admittedly, my family added tuna to their plates after I dished it out (yes, I am the only vegetarian in my house) which is what a classic Niçoise calls for. I love making a big salad like this for dinner- it makes it easy to please veggie lovers and meat eaters alike!
